OHA continues to monitor federal legislative developments and their impacts on WIC funding as the government shutdown continues.

USDA has provided additional funding to Oregon’s WIC program, which enables WIC to continue into November. As soon as we have additional information, we will share it with partners and participants.

We honor and celebrate the cultures, histories, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities—not just today, but every day.
This land we live and work on was never empty. It holds the stories, strength, and sacred connections of Indigenous peoples who have cared for it all along. While one day of recognition is important, it will never be enough. Truth, respect, and healing require continued commitment far beyond a single date.
As a mental health organization, we acknowledge the lasting impacts of colonization, displacement, and cultural erasure on Indigenous mental health. We also recognize the deep wisdom, resilience, and healing traditions held within Indigenous communities.
Today, we recommit to listening, learning, and standing in solidarity. Indigenous voices belong at the center of mental health conversations—always.
