This organization was created with the intent to educate, empower and assist families with children with children in the NICU and to bring awareness to prematurity and high risk pregnancy.

This month we're celebrating 6 years of Carter G. Cares! Since our existence we have provided of 1,375 families with resources including food, gas cards and parking passes!

We look forward to formally celebrating our anniversary next month as we serve the families at Franklin Square NICU through our partnership with Preemie World as we host our first Preemie Baby Shower!

Can you believe how much our little Carter G. has grown?! God is so faithful!

Carter is doing so well in virtual school today. We won’t pressure him to go out into the snow since he seems to hate it. Hopefully we go back to school tomorrow. ❤️ 💻 ❄️

Carter is trying new things! He recently joined a special needs bowling team and so far he’s really enjoying it. Adapted sports are amazing outlets for our kiddos! 🎳

Today Carter G. Cares Inc. is excited to launch its “Transportation for Long Distance Families” initiative to provide gas assistance for NICU parents from St. Mary’s County, MD.

Parents from the area drive almost 3 hours (and close to 90 miles) to see their babies at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. The hospital is one of the state’s designated level 3 NICU where mothers are sometimes airlifted from St. Mary’s County to Baltimore in order to receive care.

With the help of a $1000 grant from Little Giraffe Foundation , the organization will start with gas cards for 20 families. It is Carter G. Cares hope that they will be able to continue to assist more families as more funds are raised throughout the year.
