PEOPLE BEWARE!!!

Intek Truck and Equipment Leasing has made it impossible to tag their page, which is why the link is copied and pasted above.

1. Trailer leased to own through them, registration expiration about a month before lease end. THEY DID NOT RENEW THE REG, As Required by a Law. Also, failed to provide me with the title (took about 90 days) WOULD NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for the ticket I received.

2. Prior to this occurring, I was in the middle of a mortgage approval, and needed another truck. THEY STATED THEY WOULD NOT TOUCH MY PERSONAL CREDIT, Could do a Lease to Own under business alone. THEY THEN DID A HARD PULL OF MY PERSONAL CREDIT. When this caused a problem with the mortgage company, and I called Intek out about it, they simply stated that they had missed the language in the agreement... No apologies or letters of withdrawal of the hard credit request.

3. NJ rolled out new insurance legislation that affected Trucking companies last year. The specific requirement was that UPON RENEWAL of the Liability Insurance policies, they would need to Meet the New Requirements. Intek attempted to force me to cancel my existing policy, (the underwriter was unwilling to write a policy to meet the new requirements) and start a new policy, which would have resulted in a more than $10,000 loss. I had to get legal representation involved.

4. Recent unexpected knee injury created financial stress, which I attempted to alleviate by requesting a 2 month deferment on the lease. Pretty standard stuff. THEY DENIED THE REQUEST, After I submitted the Medical Files, proof of loss of income, current insurance proof (which they should have had) etc... And then, to add insult to injury, attempted to convince me to convert the Lease to a Standard Purchase agreement... At the same rates as the Lease, PLUS fees for the transfer, which I only found after thoroughly investigating the paperwork.
