This antique Japanese temple bell, known as Orin, was used long before 1868 in Buddhist temples as a sacred instrument for healing, purification, and meditation.
Its tone was not tuned according to modern Western scales, but rather to natural harmonic ratios, reflecting the balance between earthly and celestial vibrations.
The masters who created these bells shaped the sound by ear, crafting pure and resonant frequencies that align the body, mind, and spirit. The bell’s purpose was not only musical but energetic and spiritual:
• To purify space and consciousness
• To realign inner energy (Ki)
• To connect human breath with the rhythm of the universe
When sounded, the vibration flows through the body’s subtle layers, creating a sense of calm, grounding, and expansion.
Even today, these ancient tones continue to awaken deep healing and spiritual remembrance.
