Our next is here! For ACL reconstruction using a BTB autograft, Dr. Theodore Shybut, FAANA, recommends using a coring reamer to simultaneously create the tibial tunnel and harvest an autograft dowel for backfilling the bony graft sites.

A clamp is used to stabilize the initial drill pin while the tibial cortex is broached with a solid reamer. To efficiently dock the clamp while the drill pin is exchanged for the coring reamer central pin, the clamp can be left in the knee and clipped to adjacent ACL remnant fibers.
