This is the kind of leadership that this country deserves while Trump is acting tough instead in front of the most vulnerable of our citizens we have someone like AOC who will stand strong against that kind of tyranny. Here's the truth Trump wants to cut all of these things that we hold our government responsible for but he can't because he has no real answers he has no way to make sure that America is safe or America prospers because he's weak so he'll bully all of the week people around and make himself seem powerful because in the end his numbers would look abysmal if left on on its course before he was elected the Democrat party has always been the party that will fight for every citizen to make sure that we all prosper that we're all safe that we're all taken care of

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders joined a CNN town hall to speak to federal workers about the shutdown and to make the case for the Democratic Party — and boy, did they knock it out of the park.
AOC drew a razor-sharp distinction between Trump’s Republicans and the Democrats, making it clear that Democrats care about ALL Americans, not just the ones who agree with us, and we’ll stop at nothing to make sure they’re taken care of, even if they hate us.
“I think it also speaks to a big difference between someone like Trump and someone like me or someone like Bernie, which is that Trump believes that if you don't vote for him, he doesn't have to be your leader. That if you didn't vote for him, that you don't deserve good things to happen to you. I don't care if someone voted for me or not,” said AOC.
“I don't care if someone is a Republican or an Independent or a Democrat. I don't care if someone likes me or not. That will never change the fact that I'm going to fight for them to have health care.”
“I want MAGA to have health care. I want MAGA to be paid a living wage. But he doesn't want people who are Democrats or he doesn't want people, based on their political affiliation, to benefit.”
“And that is the difference between a strongman and an authoritarian and a leader of a democracy.”
AOC went to go on to remind voters that Democrats have their best interests at heart…and Republicans DON’T.
“You're damn right that it's a Democratic priority to keep people from getting poisoned, from dangerous chemicals that are being dumped and causing cancer in people without their knowledge.
“You're damn right that it's a Democratic priority to bring down the cost of housing and mortgages and rent, and you're damn right that it's a democratic priority to raise the minimum wage in this country, to allow people to get a fair shot at the American dream.”
“If they want to say that that's a Democratic priority, they're right!” exclaimed AOC.
This is exactly the kind of messaging that we need the nation to hear, and this shutdown fight over healthcare subsidies is the perfect opportunity to stake our claim.
We do this not because we want to win, but because it's the right thing to do. And as life gets worse and worse for Republicans under the Trump regime, eventually all the complaints about immigrants and trans people in the world won't be enough to save the GOP.
