Mobility is not optional, it is essential. As we move into the new year, make it a goal to start moving every day. Do not get discouraged by the advanced mobility or stretching routines you see online. Flexibility and strength are built through small consistent steps. You do not need hours. Even 10 to 15 minutes of hip mobility and stretching each day can change the way your body feels and functions.

If you are not sure where to start, my beginner hip mobility program takes out the guesswork and gives you the confidence to begin. I will guide you, so you can move with more freedom, strength, and flexibility.

If I was short on time and wanted to train mobility, I’d start here.

These exercises take you through a full body mobility session. Use ranges of motion that feel appropriate for your body and move with control.

2. Sumo Squat Holds
3. Hip Flexor Lifts 
4. Abduction + Glutes
5. World’s Greatest Stretch 
6. Prone Rotations
7. Swimmers
8. Banded IR
