I didn’t plan to start 2026 by sharing this… but I’m ready.

In late 2023, I walked into a “walk-in mammogram” center at the mall — mostly because I couldn’t remember when my last mammogram was. No family history. No genetic predisposition. No reason to think I was high-risk.

A few months later, I was diagnosed with DCIS + early stage invasive breast cancer.

I’m okay. I’m grateful. And I’m also changed — because this experience made one truth impossible to ignore:
