Great news! Our daughter (and future PhD in Cell Biology at Vanderbilt) just published her first children's book, Dinosaur Scientists! DINOSAUR SCIENTISTS is a goofy and scientifically educational book that explores the diverse fields of science including Microbiology, Meteorology, Botany, Chemistry, Data Science, Paleontology, Neuroscience, and Astronomy, with each scientist represented by a different dinosaur. The Raising Resilient Kids Symposium, hosted by Centennial High and presented by Emory Johns Creek Hospital; was sponsored by GPTA and Fulton County Schools as well as local businesses and organizations. Families came to hear about a wide range of topics; from Mental Health to Addiction, supporting teens to succeed with less stress, financial literacy, su***de prevention, social media safety, all of it was designed connect the community to solutions for today’s challenges in parenting. Team Orange Volunteers helped serve lunch to everyone. Vendors representing sponsors and local organizations and businesses helped attendees learn about their resources and training. The Committee did a great job for a first ever comprehensive wellness event like this!

As a Montessori Teacher and School Director, Denise recognized that parents need additional support to guide their children with appropriate limits.
