Small company with a great team of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Medical Assistants to work with.

This position is for a busy, growing medical clinic in Round Rock, Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills & professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Greet patients upon entering the clinic & show them to the exam room

· Introduce yourself & explain the appointment process to the patient

· Review the health interview with the patient

· Provide & explain educational materials as indicated to patient

· Obtain vital signs, EKG as needed, urine as needed then submit to lab

· Keep exam rooms & equipment clean, stocked & organized

· Perform health interviews over the phone prior to or during appointment as needed

· Verify lab orders & retrieve lab results

· Request/follow up on records requests

· Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy of medical records

· Communicate effectively & efficiently with patients, team & others

· Other office duties as needed by provider, office manager, or team

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Certified Medical Assistant, graduate of a medical assistant program, or equivalent military healthcare experience preferred

Experience:

· Previous experience within the last 3 years in the clinic setting providing direct patient care preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Willingness to learn

· Basic knowledge of medical terminology

· Attention to detail

· Excellent organization skills

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Time management

· Excellent customer service & phone skills

· Excellent verbal & written communication

· Active listening

· Problem-solving/Conflict Resolution

· Ability to collaborate in a team environment

· Computer & keyboarding: including familiarity with Windows

· Ability to engage others, listen & adapt to meet the needs of others of all ages

· Ability to understand, recall, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information

· Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology

· Flexibility

· Regular and dependable attendance

License/Certification:

BLS Certification (Preferred)

CPR Certification (Preferred)

Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday (Hours TBD)

Pay: Dependent on experience
