Thank you to those who have already supported.

As many know, our main goal is to solicit for instruments that we can give to kids and teens. Because nobody involved with running Pick With Austin receives any pay or compensation, our need for $$ is not as great as with many other similar organizations that have salary staff. Unfortunately though, there are still costs incurred to running an outreach program such as this one ("Alan's Gift of Music" program). We have grown to the need for additional paid storage (environmentally controlled due to the nature of the instruments). I HOPE YOU CAN HELP!

As Pick With Austin works on resolving some of our funding needs, we hope to begin providing a more regular offering of free instruments at the CITY ART GALLERY in Round Rock, TX. The past several months we have been kept busy getting guitars and other instruments refurbished and out into the hands of kids in the local schools, juvenile services, church youth groups, and mental health programs. We do also provide (mostly guitars) to the general community through the (new) Gallery on Main Street (Round Rock).

Here is the prep for the new sign/flyer that we will be using with the guitars display at the Gallery. Stay tuned also for information soon about our guitar building classes, and more!

Alan's Gift of Music honors the memory of Alan Carter Villaruz Curley, seen here in this painting playing cards with some of his pets. The white cat took his loss the hardest, but his life is the inspiration for PICK WITH AUSTIN.

Since 2010, Pick With Austin has distributed around 2,000 guitars and musical instruments into the community. It's a lot of work, as most instruments need to be repaired, cleaned up, or refurbished first. YOU CAN HELP by helping to support our costs for our new additional storage facility.
