POV: you’re holding a pattern that nature has been whispering for centuries

The Fibonacci sequence, where each number is the sum of the two before, appears everywhere in nature. 🌀

From the unfurling of ferns to the spiral of seashells to the movement of galaxies. It is a pattern of expansion, balance, and organic growth.

This 15” rain disk from Meinl Sonic Energy carries that same intelligence in its design.

The soft sound mirrors a gentle rain and a constant reminder that life moves in cycles.

There is something in us that recognizes this pattern instantly. It feels grounding because it is familiar on a deeper level.

We do not have to force the way forward.

We can learn to go with the flow. 💗

⬇️What I wish I knew when I started my sound healing journey.

We welcome a new Sound Healing Certification cohort this weekend@seasonsofsoundhealing 🌀

There is so much excitement and, of course, hard work to prepare, but it’s so much more than that.

These students will soon carry the message of sound healing forward into their communities.

They will hold space for so many.

Their practice will change lives, including their own. 🥹

So as we embark on this journey together, I like to offer a few words of wisdom from my own experience on this path.

Here’s what I wish I knew when I first started:

1️⃣ Collecting instruments feels like progress but integration is where the magic happens. You don’t need every instrument on the market. Now or ever. Start small and grow your collection if and when it feels right.

2️⃣Not everyone will ‘get’ what you do or get YOU. That’s okay. Just be yourself and let your heart lead you.

3️⃣You must have a personal practice. It doesn’t need to be complex but it does need to be a priority.

4️⃣Less is more. Don’t try to fill every second of your sound journey. Leave space for silence. Leave space for magic.

5️⃣Remember, you are a student first and sound healer second. You can’t skip hard work and experience.

6️⃣Keep learning and shining. The world needs more dedicated sound healers more than ever.

✨Sound healers, what advice would you offer to
the next generation? We’d love your words of encouragement. ✨🫶

Story time! ⬇️ It finally happened.🤦‍♀️😅🤣

Yesterday, I dropped a singing bowl while teaching meditation.

It wouldn’t have been a huge deal since I was on cushioned floors, but I happened to drop the bowl on the harmonium so it made a huge bang in a silent room. 🤦‍♀️

I’ve been teaching for 10 years and this hasn’t ever happened, but I knew it would at some point.

As an aside, this is why you don’t see me playing bowls directly over students. Like ever. I proved myself right I guess. 🤣

I could have gotten super upset or embarrassed, and believe me, I was a little shocked and worried about my poor students nervous system response.

My perfectionism definitely wanted to rear its head since this is not exactly how I like to practice nervous system resilience. 🫣

Instead, I made a joke and we all laughed. We were fine. I was fine.

My intention to create a space to let go and to be kind to ourselves still held true, just not in the way my perfectionist self would have liked.

But it still worked out. Years of experience have taught me this and I know it’ll always be a work in progress.

I’m reminded how much previous versions of me would have replayed the mistake over and over.

But I’ve been able to chalk it up to a good story and doubling down on practicing what a teach.

Spaciousness with myself. Being easy on others.

And not dropping bowls, but if you do, make sure it hits a harmonium and not someone’s head.

I wanted to speak at length about the happiness of my body and the delight of my mind for it was April, night, a full moon and—

but something in myself or maybe from somewhere other said:

not too many words, please, in the muddy shallows the
frogs are singing. ✨

May we find moments to listen deeply whenever and however we can . 🤍
