Good Morning Family!!! Juneteenth celebrates the day the last enslaved people in Texas were told they were free on June 19, 1865, two years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation (1863) Proclamation. If your from KY, you know we have two Freedom days, God knows we need it more than ever, we also celebrate 8th of August, which started in Allensville KY starting in 1868 to celebrate our Freedom as well ; Russellville KY, Paducah KY , Hopkinsville KY, i do believe Clarksville TN is in that list as well.
Today TCHG, want to announce the 2026 Family Reunion happening June 19 & June 20th of 2026, we must continue to honor our history, they said in the past, the day was so important in the African-American communities that people would not work on that day, dress up respectfully, and have a beautiful time, we got our banks closed today etc... and most of us are still probably working so next year, same day which is on a Friday, I challenge you to take off work (PTO) and come celebrate how far our family has come, love your family thru the thick and thin of life, you never know when its our last day on earth, the price of loving your family won't change even though we know prices has changed everywhere these days, we taking it back same location as the beginning 2012!!!
