The days we live in are difficult: Unrest has become the norm. Fear is a constant and unwelcome intrusion. Spiritual darkness seems to be growing. As God’s people, how are we to respond?

In days of trouble, Scripture urges us to cry out to the Lord.

I called to the Lord in my distress,
and I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. — Psalm 18:6
