Mistakes to Avoid Before Your PMU Appointment 🚫

Want the best healed results? Make sure to avoid these common mistakes before your permanent makeup session:

• Drinking alcohol the night before
• Taking blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, etc.) 48 hours prior
• Consuming caffeine the day of your appointment
• Getting Botox or fillers within 2 weeks of your procedure
• Excess sun exposure or sunburn on the treatment area
• Using retinol, AHA/BHA, or exfoliants near the area 7 days before
• Coming in with irritated or broken skin
• Scheduling your appointment right before a big event (healing takes time!)

Your skin condition directly affects your healed results. Proper preparation helps ensure better pigment retention, smoother healing, and overall better results.

Upon arrival, clients are made comfortable while a topical numbing agent is applied and allowed to process for approximately 20–30 minutes to ensure maximum comfort.

Once the skin is properly numbed, we begin the custom brow mapping process, which is tailored to your unique facial structure, bone structure, and natural brow growth. This step is collaborative — we carefully review and agree on the final shape together before any treatment begins.

We then discuss your brow goals, lifestyle, and desired outcome (soft, natural, bold, etc.) to ensure your results align with your expectations.

After your approval, we proceed with the brow treatment using professional techniques and high-quality pigments.

Upon completion of the service, we thoroughly review aftercare instructions and provide a complimentary aftercare kit to support proper healing and long-lasting results.
