Covid19 recommendations are changing by the hour. With all the unknowns during this time, breast milk is the one known good thing for your baby!
Recommendations:
*Wash your hands before & after breastfeeding *Wear a mask during feeding or close cuddles next to your baby
*Nurse frequently to keep up your milk supply
*Stay well hydrated *Get lots of rest to keep your immune system strong
*Stay home with your family *Wash your hands often! .
Stay safe, be cautious, and keep breastfeeding!

Attention mommies to be and new mommies!! Continue to BREASTFEED during this time of Covid19. Your milk is the BEST food for your baby! Your milk is amazing and full of active immunity that can protect your baby!!!
Immunoglobulins are antibodies. IgA is an antibody which is a protein that is made by your immune system after exposure to a pathogen (something harmful to your body that causes an immune response, such as a virus). Immunoglobulins, or antibodies, fight off germs, illness, and disease. They circulate throughout the body and even in your breast milk.

Besides IgA, there are four other types of immunoglobulins in breast milk. They are IgE, IgG, IgM, and IgD.

The main antibody found in your breast milk, IgA, is considered the most important and gives your baby protection!

This means that most insurance companies should cover a home visit from an IBCLC– though due to a convoluted licensing loophole, therefore, most private practice IBCLCs are out-of-network providers.
