Some weeks hit harder than others.

This week I experienced a big loss, and emotionally it affected me hard - devastated, in bed depressed.

But one thing I kept reminding myself is this…

Hard moments don’t mean we give up.

And I know so many women feel this same way with their health.

You’re trying.
You’re showing up.
You’re eating better.
You’re working out.

But the scale isn’t moving… your energy isn’t improving… and it starts to feel like everything you’re doing is a waste.

I want you to hear this today:
It’s not a loss.
Your effort is not wasted.
And you are not failing.

Sometimes we just need support, guidance, and someone to help us get back up when life knocks us down.

Vacation doesn’t have to = inflammation flare-ups 🌴
You can travel, relax, enjoy the food… and still support your body.

Here’s what I teach my busy moms inside Thrive-in-90 when they’re on vacation 👇

1) Protect your mornings
Start the day before the chaos:
• water + electrolytes
• protein at breakfast
• sunlight + a short walk

This stabilizes blood sugar and lowers stress response for the rest of the day.

2) Don’t skip meals → build smarter plates
Under-eating all day then overdoing it at night = inflammation spike.
Instead:
• protein first
• add fiber/produce
• enjoy the fun foods after
No guilt. Just balance.

3) Lower stress, not just calories
Travel stress, poor sleep, and alcohol hit inflammation harder than one dessert ever will.

Focus on:
• sleep when you can
• breathing / nervous system resets
• hydration between drinks

4) Move to support your body (not punish it)

You don’t need intense workouts on vacation.
Think:
• walks
• swimming
• bodyweight strength
• stretching

Movement keeps inflammation and stiffness down.

5) Bring your “non-negotiables”
The women who feel BEST on vacation keep a few anchors:
• supplements
• protein source
• water bottle
• simple routine
Consistency > perfection.

You don’t need to “start over” when you get home.

You just need a strategy that works in real life.
