I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Community Counseling Associates in Sacramento, CA., specializing in trauma and addiction. I have been an Addictions Counselor since graduating from American River College in 2000 with AA degrees in Chemical Dependency Studies, Human Services, Social Services, and Liberal Arts. I continued my education, graduating from William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Counseling Psychology and Biblical Studies. I completed my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Western Seminary in Sacramento, CA in August, 2013. I received training in the Dual Diagnosis Unit at Heritage Oaks Mental Health Hospital and at the Salvation Army Shelter, Family Transitional Living Center, the Adult Rehabilitation Center in Sacramento, CA and Community Counseling Associates. I am passionate about helping people build a new life. I offer Trauma, Addiction and Codependency Counseling that integrates mind, body and spirit. I am also helpful in facilitating the relapse prevention process once an individual completes the initial stages of their recovery and is learning how to enjoy a clean and sober lifestyle. In addition, I have 20 years of experience in speaking and training organizations, schools and churches about addiction recovery and spirituality, and facilitating groups.
