Nothing can take away the fact that you are a father. Whether your child was unborn or born, you will always be their father. It is okay to have these thoughts, It is okay to have these feelings, it is okay to grieve.

It is often up to us to tell others what we need. This is not even close to ideal, but it is reality. Most have no clue what is means to experience the death of their baby either unborn or born. It is okay to have these feelings, it is okay to grieve.

Father’s Day is an important day. You may not have your child(ren) with you, but you are and will always be a Father to your baby(ies) whether they were unborn or born.

The legacy of my child lives on every time I share my journey and how it has affected my life. It is in the sharing that others around us can learn how to support families during these difficult and often challenging times. If someone has not been through Pregnancy and Infant loss themselves they often do not know how to react. It is okay to have these feelings, it is okay to grieve.

Father’s Day is approaching. You may not have your child(ren) with you, but you are and will always be a Father to your baby(ies) whether they were unborn or born.
