-- Do you know that these changes are needed for your success, and you're not sure where to start?
-- Do you sense that talking about change is not easy, as people are not ready to hear about it? You are not alone, and I can completely understand how challenging it is to get ready and implement change in your organization. You need the buy-in and support of your staff, and at times it feels that you are alone. You can use a partner who can make it easier to implement the needed changes, with confidence. This is where I can help you! In my three decades plus experience in coaching, with a focus on leadership development and change, I have learned that the most important factor in the successful implementation of any change is the people in your team. You and your staff are the only ones who can make change happen. Once you have the people on board, excited about the new reality you are creating, you can move forward with confidence and speed. Through this experience, I could see that when leaders came to me, their biggest challenges were:
❌Feeling like the organization is not on board with the changes that are needed
❌ Being uncertain about how to effectively communicate the change to get everyone on board
❌ Being stressed about the impact of implementing any change without the buy-in from staff

If this is your experience, I can help you work through these challenges by:
✅Showing you effective tools and processes to support your team through change
✅ Defining a compelling vision for a desired new reality that your team can support and champion
✅ Bringing you peace of mind, knowing that your team shares your vision, and is excited about the changes needed to move forward. One recent example of how I have helped:
A mid-size company was in the process of introducing a major new automated system. After working with both the leadership team and staff, we created a plan to ensure a higher level of acceptance and understanding of the needed change. After the implementation, the owner indicated that as a result of this work, the migration to the new system went very fast, and effectively as the team understood the reason for the change and worked well and respectfully together to achieve the desired outcome. I can help you, as I have helped other clients, to get your team on board with the changes you need to make. Please direct message me here on LinkedIn to set up some time to talk.😊

I hope you enjoy this article. It made a lot of sense to me! Life is your cup. What are you putting in it? Have a great day, and let me know what you think!

I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatevr is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provids the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affrmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Most of the benches are carved from old fallen trees. It was a great day, in nature!

Goas vs. Systems – what works best?

We have entered the second week of the year, and again time is moving forward fast. The hectic times around the holidays are behind us, winter is taking hold, and it is time to take stock and plan for the year ahead. And the idea of setting goals comes to mind.

I have never liked goals; it seems like a process of win or lose, instead of a helpful way to help you move forward. The goal, in itself, has not helped me reach my desired results. It seems that only through the HOW – the process to move forward, you can be successful.

At the start of his book Atomic Habits, James Clear offers a very good discussion of why goals are not effective, and how creating systems to support what you want to achieve works best. And he suggests focusing less on goals and more on systems. I plan to head to his advice.
(Atomic Habits is a good book to read [or re-read] in 2024.)

Growing my coaching business in 2024 is an important desired outcome. I have started to develop the system to get this done. One of the steps is to become more visible on social media through articles and blogs. There are others, but this is the first one!

How about you? Let’s start a conversation on how you plan to create systems in 2024 to achieve your desired outcomes. To your success in 2024.

A very powerful presentation about the power of movement for brain health. Worth listening to this one.

Great lesson. Experience can be priceless

A giant ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they hired a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience.

He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded his bag and pulled out a small hammer.

He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!

A week later the engineer mentioned to the ship owner that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $20,000.

"What?!" said the owner.

"You did almost nothing. Give us a detailed bill."

The answer is simple:

Tap with a hammer: $2

Know where to knock and how much to knock: $19,998

The importance of appreciating one's expertise and experience...because those are the results of struggles, experiments and even tears.

If I do a job in 30 minutes it's because I spent 20 years learning how to do that in 30 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes.
