✨ Congratulations to our Resident of the Month, Lila Chaplin! ✨

Lila has been part of the Haven family since June and has been a true blessing to our community. She leads weekly Bible studies, hosts morning coffee and prayer gatherings, and assists with Sunday services. As an ordained minister, Lila loves sharing her faith and uplifting those around her. We are so grateful to have her as part of our Haven family! 💛

✨Our team members and residents were invited to attend the Ombudsman Luncheon and Presentation yesterday in Effingham, IL. "Calling All Witches" was a great time for our residents, Linda Huie and Lila Chaplin. They had a fabulous meal and enjoyed entertainment by Benny & the Amigos. Linda especially enjoyed this outing as she was celebrating her 72nd birthday. Thank you to Gina Burrus, Social Service Director and Amy Burrus, Transportation, for being such excellent escorts for this fun day. 💐💜

✨Our Assistant Director of Nursing, Amanda and Human Resources Director, Jessica spent the morning at Jessica’s alma mater, St. Elmo High School, participating in the career fair!

They answered questions about career opportunities and volunteering, and the students were eager to learn all about the rewarding world of long-term care.

Congratulations to Cindy Keith, who was selected by the Resident Council as Employee of the Month for October 2025 at Haven of St. Elmo!

Resident Council President shared, “She is one of the best people you could ever ask for. She always helps us anytime we need something — with such a positive attitude.”

Cindy, a valued member of our Environmental Services Department, was chosen for this honor for many reasons. She has perfect attendance, is hardworking, and is always ready to lend a hand in any department whenever needed. Her positive attitude, kind words, and dedication to our residents, staff, and families make her truly exceptional.

We couldn’t ask for a better team member than Cindy Keith! 💐
