This Life At Home Our journey together as a family! We are a large family with 5 children left at home, who sold everything, bought an RV, and hit the road.

So far, we have traveled to 17 states and over 15,000 miles. While we absolutely love traveling as a family we also have a passion for homesteading. Our goal is to eventually find our dream piece of land and start a small self sustainable homestead. Wherever we are, whether it be traveling or homesteading, we are embracing this life to its fullest with our children by our side

Our goal is to encourage others to live a full and happy life together, while teaching them everything we learn along the way. We know there will be lots of mistakes but many accomplishments along the way. Come follow us on our journey!

We have only been doing short excursions for the last year so needless to say, we are ready for a longer trip!!⁣

We are heading to my Doterra conference in Utah, so while there we are going to visit the Utah national parks and The Grand Canyon! ⁣
⁣
This has been on our must see list for as long as we have wanted to travel. ⁣
⁣
So, for those of you who have visited Utah and Arizona drop your tips, tricks, and must see places below! ⁣

We just did an overnight canoe trip down the Buffalo river in NW Arkansas. This was the first time for me to do anything like this! ⁣

It was so cold overnight that our water froze and we flipped once but survived.😁 Thank goodness it wasn’t a full submersion (only up above our knees) because that river is cold!!🥶🥶🥶⁣
⁣
On the other hand the river and surrounding scenery was absolutely breath taking and the time with our kids and really good friends made this an amazing trip!❤️⁣

Plus I conquered a few fears I had and finally figured out how to canoe down a river.🤣⁣
I’m so glad we did this and can’t wait for the next trip!

Meet the newest member of our family, Lady Beef! She will one day be mama to our beef herd.😍⁣

I have wanted to own a cow for as long as I can remember. It’s a dream come true, even though she has certainly broken us into cattle ownership by being slightly naughty and leading us on a 24 hour chase through the mountains of NW Arkansas!🤦🏻‍♀️😭⁣
⁣
Needless to say, we have learned a lot about fencing, really quickly! 😁 She is finally settled and quite happy in her new place. ⁣
⁣
I know you may be wondering, did you get land? Are you still in the RV? Will you still be traveling? ⁣
⁣
The answer to those in order are...no, we haven’t gotten land (but we are looking), yes, we are still in the RV, and yes, we will be doing some shorter travels in the spring! We like to do things backwards here.😁⁣

I can’t wait to share so much more about our quest to find land and also our travels. Life is always an adventure!❤️⁣

A little fun fact about us. Before we started traveling we were beekeepers. We sold our bees before hitting the road and have missed beekeeping so much. ⁣Especially since we’ve been stationary.

Well, we did a thing so I am happy to say we have gotten a beehive again. Scott is definitely in his happy place working with his bees. 🐝⁣

So, since the girls have not been anywhere since Covid we decided to take them on a rare treat in town. Ice cream!! ⁣

We took them to Braum’s. We’ve never been to one since they don’t have them in Louisiana where we are from, but we loved it! I even got ice cream, and if you know me, you know I have a hard time eating it because of it melting.😁⁣

It was great to have just a little bit of normalcy again, even if we did have to take it to go. Are any of you seeing signs of things returning to normal? ⁣

One day things will open back up and we will be able to get back out there. I know I will never take times like these for granted again. ⁣I cannot wait for the day when things are back to normal. Until then, we are just enjoying the beauty of where we are.❤️

A new friend of mine reminded me to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the area around me. Since all of our plans have been put on hold I have so much more time to really appreciate the beauty of spring here. 💐

This is less than a mile from where are staying. I just love the red bud trees in bloom everywhere.😍
