An Auntie Once More 💕

What a joy it was to be present as the newest member of our family came earth side, to watch as another became a big sibling, to hold these babies so tenderly. Sweet little ones you have my heart.

Happy Saint Patrick’s day from the happiest little dude I know. Being an auntie is the best roll I get to play. His contagious smile and seemingly endless laughter bring so much joy.

I also had the privilege of welcoming helping a family welcome their St. Patties day baby this morning. I am feeling very grateful for this incredibly cool job I have, even if it doesn’t mean waking up at 5Am.

Happy International Women’s Day!

To all the women who’ve come before us, who fought tooth and nail for EVERY SINGLE right we have, and to all the women who continue to fight to keep those rights.

To my own mother and grandmother, who held me so tenderly, with a gentle ferocity, who sacrificed, watered my blooming heart, and taught me that love is a power like no other, unshakable and endless.

To every woman in my life who surround me with love so endless it humbles me, who hold me the way my mother once did, in arms of the most loving armor, and who show up, again and again.

Enjoying a day off and embracing second winter in its fullest ❄️

I took a much needed stroll through minnehaha dog park today to enjoy the quiet beauty of freshly fallen snow and the bounding joy of all the pups in said snow.

A new office book by and yes I had a few heartfelt sniffles reading it. This sweet read is great for littles ones of both trans and non trans parents, it celebrates the joy and love of every unique family. I feel so many things right now and I feel I have so much to say without the right words to say it. What I can say with certainty is there are pockets of this world where you, as a human, are always seen, heard, welcomed, respected, celebrated, and loved. Where being you is all you will ever be asked to be. 🏳️‍⚧️

Welcome little one. You came swiftly into loving hands and a home so full of joy to meet you. You even came en caul(still in your amniotic sac). I am once again in awe of the beauty of birth. It was an honor to be invited into this space and see another life enter our world.

We took a little trip today to our local, much loved book store to refresh my TBR pile. Bean was a perfect gentleman as always and waited patiently while I “previewed” a few books. Spoiler, I bought them all, and they are mostly about cats. Don’t tell bean. 🤫

Fall in bloom. The flowers are enjoying the last lingering warmth as we enter fall and remind us that there is life and beauty in every season. We often think of fall as a season of death, as leaves fall from trees and flowers wilt, when it is really so vibrantly full of life. Apples ripen, bees feverishly work to make honey, root vegetables and squash fill with color. Fall is a season of life. Happy Mabon(a few days late). Fall is here and lovely as ever.

A beautiful Saturday morning at the farmers market bursting with color and life, and of course, egg rolls. And an afternoon spent canning salsa and pickles. Saturday was a full and satisfying day. My heart is full and my hands are so very tired from chopping vegetables.
