Congrats to Gloria Reng, MD, third-year family medicine resident at Hennepin Healthcare, who was recently awarded a $3,000 MAFP Foundation Resident Research Grant!

Her project, “Teen Voice Card: Amplifying Adolescent Voices in Preventive Care,” co-developed with a teen advisory committee, aims to strengthen trust + engagement between teens & their clinicians.

She’ll be mentored by past MAFP Innovation & Research Award honoree Maria Veronica Svetaz, MD, MPH, FSAHM, FAAFP.

CMS has released the final MPFS. We’re pleased by several provisions that will strengthen primary care and help patients access the care they need.

We urge Congress to establish an adequate annual inflationary adjustment, as well as reopen the federal government to ensure Medicare claims are processed on time. These are crucial steps toward ensuring primary care practices can keep their doors open and serve patients.
