I tried knitting my ribbing inside out after seeing a tip that says it’ll look neater! It worked!

My previous reel has more info on how to do it. Your yarn travels farther on the purl stitch and may not be as tight, giving it a looser look than you might like.

Next up to fix: finding a bind off I love! Let me know which method is your favorite.

I recently saw this tip for people whose ribbing looks better on the wrong side. All you do is turn your work, which results in knitting inside out! I’m doing that with a double stitch (same technique used in German short rows). The yarn has to travel further for purl stitches, so that’s why they look looser and more messy for some people (like me!). Follow along for part 2 to see the result!

I’m knitting the sweater by .knits here.

Working on a Sandbar Cowl today with ! If you can knit and purl, you can make this! The pattern pack includes instructions for a hat, cow, and headband. It’s a perfect weekend project. Two skeins of super bulky wool will make all 3 patterns.

The pattern is on my ravelry, Etsy, and website.

All the things I’ve got going on, in addition to making hats to sell 😅 Typically I’m a 1-2 project at a time type of knitter but I’m trying something new and letting myself work on whatever I want, even if it means things don’t get finished as often!

From earliest cast on to most recent:
- Inge Sweater by I frogged the first version because my gauge was too big, so this is where it’s at on round 2
- Uppstytta - inspired by a woman in Iceland (I asked her what the pattern was, she was wearing it while knitting something else!) but it’s too big and I’m not a fan of the bottom up construction. Will frog and knit the Treysta sweater by .love.wool with the yarn instead
- Hipster Hat by
- Winter Crop by for my son. He picked out the yarn!
- Polypody Sweater DK by .knits

If you’re a knitter, have you made any of these? Next up, I want to knit the Sophie Hood by and some Selbu mittens!

New colors in stock! Which one would you pick?

In addition to picking colors I like personally, I love to see what color jackets people are wearing at my craft markets and events. I’m still seeing a lot of cranberry. I picked out this new hand-dyed cranberry color to match!

In addition to these three, there’s a new blue and a neutral beige that have been listed too!
