Late winter sunrise was the color palette I had in mind when picking yarn for this sweater!

I’m done with the colorwork yoke and have split for sleeves, now it’s on to knitting the body! I hope to make a little progress on it this weekend, as well as finishing the Sophie Hood I have started!

Pattern: by
Yarn: DK in neon coral and dusty blue colorways

March blizzard is only good for one thing - snow washing our hats! This method is an old Nordic tradition.

- Works for wool and merino wool (and other natural fibers other than cotton)
- You need clean, cold snow (not the kind you can make snowballs with)
- Lay it in the snow, cover it in more snow
- Let it sit for 20 minutes
- Shake off the excess, then lay flat to dry
- All clean!

Have you tried it?

2026 Knitting Plans! Does not include my WIPs that I recently posted about 🙈

- Sophie Hood by
- Harvest Flower Sweater by
- The Simple Jacket by .knits
- Hokey Pokey Mittens by
- Treysta by .love.wool
- Air Cardigan or Great Lakes Pullover by - I love the mods did on hers!

If you’re a knitter, are any of these on your list?

For my hat customers, no worries - there will be plenty of hats, cowls, and headbands for fall and winter (and maybe some mittens too!)

WIP Wednesday! Here’s what’s in my project basket(s)…

• Hipster Hat by - ready to decrease, I’ve been knitting this foreverrrr
• Inge Sweater by - unfortunately I think I need to frog this for the 2nd time. I figured out why it keeps turning out too big for me, and the reason is that I did not read the pattern thoroughly 🤦‍♀️
• Sitzmark Sweater by - color combo inspired by winter sunrises. This one is coming along nicely!
• Wildwood Beanie by using my favorite yarn, Piuma because it makes the fluffiest texture!
• Søljestas Mittens by - I am now obsessed with Selbu mittens! I’ve had this skein of Rios from since last spring
• Not a WIP, but Gus wants you to know his role in all of these projects: yarn supervisor and emotional support

Which color is your fave? Mine is the pink!

My first Selbu Mittens! I’ve wanted to learn these for so long and I think it’s safe to say I’m obsessed!

I used Selbu Mittens pattern, which was written for beginners and explains things well. It includes written instructions that go along with the chart (you’ll still need to know how to read a colorwork chart though).

Have you made Selbu Mittens, and if so, what patterns would you recommend?

Pattern:
Yarn: Rios Lonja + superwash merino 220 (not sure of the color name, but it’s white)
