Good evening to you all. I feel like it has been forever since I posted an update.

As we move into the new years I am planning to offer more classes, we also need to look at some fund raising for events like Twin Cities Pride and other events.

As always if you are an instructor and wish to post classes here you may.

I am doing a Permit to Carry Instructor Course Saturday and Sunday April 18 and 19 if anyone wishes to attend I will share the link below, I also have several permit to carry classes coming up.

Why should I take Street Medicine?

Public protest is one of the best ways for the collective society to get their grievances addressed. History is filled with examples of where a peaceful protest has gotten more accomplished than armed revolution. For the most part protests are free from major issues and concerns but this does not mean that they are free from injuries or illness. A twisted ankle, a heat of cold related emergency, or any other medical concern can occur at any time. Beyond that we find ourselves in situations when that peaceful demonstration becomes violent, whether through the activities of outside agitators or through other means, people can get hurt, they can be impacted by chemical irritants, tasers, smoke and gas, as well as less lethal projectiles, or injuries sustained while being detained.

It becomes vital to have a team of individuals who can render aid at the event, Professional responders will be delayed until the scene has been cleared by law enforcement which could take several minutes in a volatile situation. Providing bleeding control, chemical spray treatments, and other care can often assist a person in being able to leave the area and either obtain private transport to a medical facility or be moved to a safer place for Emergency Medical services to respond to.

The class is going to teach:
Basic First aid skills
Hands only CPR
AED use
Seizures
Treating pepper spray
Narcan administration
Stop the BLEED
Pt Assessment, including when the situation calls for professional responders.
and More.

We usually charge 80.00 for this class, but for the rest of the month you can get it for half price.
Class is scheduled for Sunday January 25 in Saint Paul, but if you are part of a group that wants to set up a private class of at least 4 people either at a place closer to you or my office message me here, email korstogtraining@gmail.com, call or text 612-961-3002, or talk to my wife. Remember this is an 8 hour class I can split it up over a couple days if you need, but my scheduled does fill up.

Basic bleeding control
Basic medical emergencies
As well as tourniquet use and Narcan administration.

The cost is 40 per student
Students will receive a certificate of completion from Korstog Training.
