What exactly are you feeling "๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ"?
Is it prolapse?
Of course, the ๐๐๐ฆ๐ง way to get that diagnosis is to see a Pelvic Therapist who has the expert training to properly diagnosis (๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ท๐ช๐ค ๐ง๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ข๐ฑ๐ช๐ด๐ต๐ด ๐ฉ๐ข๐ท๐ฆ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐ต๐บ๐ฑ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ณ๐ข๐ช๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ)
Pelvic organ prolapse is far more common than most people realize โ especially postpartum โ and it doesnโt always look or feel the same for everyone.
Hereโs what many people donโt know:
โจ Signs are what a provider can see or feel on an exam- ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐๐๐๐ that you have the ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ง provider doing the exam!
โจ Symptoms are what you feel in daily life- this is what YOU tell your provider you are experiencing. And ๐ก๐ข it is ๐ป๐ผ๐ something you have to just live with it
Signs and symptoms are not always on the same wavelength.. you ๐๐๐ have signs but no symptoms, and vice versa.
Our job is to determine what exactly is going on.
Things to know:
๐ซ Prolapse does not automatically mean surgery- actually this should NOT be the first action step
๐ซ It does not mean you canโt exercise or live fully- strength training and exercise is CRUCIAL for pelvic organ prolapse management
๐ซ And it does not mean youโre broken- you've got this, and we are here for you!
With the right support, education, and movement strategy, many people reduce symptoms, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their bodies.
You are allowed to ask questions.
You are allowed to move your body.
And you are allowed to get help.
