Autism Acceptance in Action 🤍
This April, we’re seeing a meaningful shift from awareness to acceptance. Here in Salem, organizations like are helping lead that change in real, tangible ways.
Acceptance isn’t passive. It shows up through opportunity, inclusion, and the willingness to rethink how we support one another in everyday life. At Garten, that means creating pathways to meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities. Access to work builds confidence, independence, and a true sense of belonging.
It’s also a reminder that every individual brings unique strengths. Many people on the autism spectrum offer incredible focus, attention to detail, reliability, and problem-solving skills. These are qualities that make our workplaces and communities stronger.
Small moments matter too.
• Ask for help if you need it
• Speak up if you see someone who could use support
• Look out for one another
That’s where real community starts.
