Those black stripes are called a rainscreen. They create an air gap between the cedar cladding and the wall.

This allows the sauna to fully dry, if and when it becomes wet. Ensuring a long lived sauna and a long lived you.

We just picked up our first order of custom made cedar!

Rough on one side and smooth on the other with a distinct gap between each cladding piece.

The mill had to make custom hardware just to produce this!

I am obsessed with building the most beautiful and long lasting saunas.

Had a great time at .glo. Loyly, cold plunge, fragrance. They get it here. This is what sauna needs here in the US. I left inspired and wanting more. Great job guys.
