Changing Children’s Lives Since 1984

With a core belief that every child deserves a family, Kinship Center has remained focused for more than three decades on connecting children to safe, permanent families that will be there for a lifetime.

Kinship Center recruits and prepares permanent new families for children of all ages who have been removed from their homes to keep them safe. Some have severe medical disabilities or mental health problems and most carry the scars of past trauma. Recognized as a leader in adoption support, Kinship Center helps kin caregivers and new adoptive families through parent education, mentoring, family support groups, counseling, emergency intervention, and licensed clinics that provide children’s mental health services.

Our professional staff play a leading role in the field of child welfare and we continue to receive national recognition for our model programs and services on behalf of children. Through participation and advocacy, we help formulate policy and establish standards that protect children and families.

Programs: Adoption, Foster care, Intensive Treatment Foster Care, Post Adoption Support, Relative Care Support, Children’s Mental Health Services, Child Development Services, Parent Education & Support, Professional Training & Education
