Fierce Fitness is ran by Scottie Showalter a certified personal trainer and Health and Physical Education teacher. I have had 18 years experience in the fitness industry. I've trained at Nemacolin Woodlands, Ocean City Health and Fitness, World Gym Ocean City, Plus One Fitness Salisbury Maryland, and Ladies Workout Express Salisbury Maryland. The main focus is Afterburn Circuit Training which is personal training in a group setting. What is circuit training? What can I expect to do in the class? Circuit training is the use of compound exercises (using multiple muscle groups) and cardio exercises in short one minute rounds. Circuit training allows you to burn more calories due to engaging more muscles, and cardiorespiratory endurance one exercise after another. It also increases your metabolic burn long after the class. The class is set up in 15-20 stations. Each station will be performed for one minute, then rotate to the next. You will perform one full rotation, take a break, then perform one more rotation. Each class will begin with stretching and warm up then finish with cool down and stretching. Participants are asked to bring their own dumb bells. Women 3 or 5 pounds, men 15-20. The lighter weight is asked because of higher reps performed in the one minute bout. Classes will be every Tuesday and Thursday at St. John's Luthern Church Salisbury, located below the American Legion, at 6:30 or 7:30 pm. First class is February 4th.
