Join us tomorrow night from 6-9pm for August Gallery Stroll at Art Access, presented with support from the Utah Division of Arts and Museums, Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks, and the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office ACE Fund. Financial investment from foundation & individual donors, city, county & state agencies, and support from local artists, patrons, community partners like , and volunteers like Jojo and Zaida are vital to Art Access program operations each year—these relationships are vital in light of the uncertainty facing arts and cultural organizations nationwide.

Our small staff and board extends many thanks to the vibrant community that continues to coalesce around our mission of increasing access to the arts through opportunities for disabled artists and education for the community and cultural institutions!

July is Disability Pride month, and Art Access is excited to announce our 2025 Partners artist-collaborators!

Founded in 1994, Partners is a professional development program that pairs an emerging artist with disabilities with an established artist for 25 hours of one-on-one mentoring in a shared creative medium. Both artists are paid $35 an hour for co-creation and given a stipend for production materials. Art Access staff also organize additional professional development opportunities throughout the program. Each Partners cohort ends in an accessibly-desgined group exhibit that is free to the public.

Returning to the cohort, Katie Felgar is s a multidisciplinary artist working primarily with watercolor. Katie is looking for an established mentor to support her in building an “artist’s journal” and help her incorporate gouache and mixed-media collage into her unique, nature-inspired water color creations.

Alex is a digital artist who uses Adobe Illustrator to create shape-based artwork and pixel sprites. Alex is looking for an established mentor to help develop his knowledge of color theory in digital mediums and promote himself on digital platforms toward a career in game design.

Kage Guenther is a colorblind artist working in digital and graphite mediums. Their monochromatic,  surrealist monsters and emotional, energetic tree portraiture explores the boundaries between “randomness” and “logic”. Kage is looking for an established mentor to help them expand their subject base and learn artistic promotion strategies.

Are you an established local artist interested in forwarding accessibility and fostering professional development for emerging artists? Lend your expertise in support of our 2025 Partners cohort! Submit a mentor interest form today, and help make our August 2025 Partners exhibit a success—link in bio!
