We are looking forward to celebrating Mother's Day at our upcoming celebration and care fair on May 8th from 8:30 AM-1:00 PM here in the Glendale-Mountain View Community Learning Center! There will be informative presentations on lung cancer prevention, mammogram appointments, community resources and a fun lunch celebration! Please see the flyer for more information and for the details on how to sign up for a mammogram!

Our pre-k and kindergarten students had a blast at the Science and Literacy Fair in the CLC this week! This event has been happening in partnership with The University of Utah faculty and students in the Family and Consumer Studies department for over 10 years. We appreciate them taking the time out their classroom to create such a fun and educationally enriching experience for our students.

¡Nuestros estudiantes de pre-kínder y kindergarten se lo pasaron de maravilla en la Feria de Ciencia y Alfabetización en el CLC esta semana! Este evento ha estado sucediendo en asociación con la facultad y los estudiantes de la Universidad de Utah en el departamento de Estudios de la Familia y el Consumidor durante más de 10 años. Apreciamos que se tomen el tiempo de su salón de clases para crear una experiencia tan divertida y educativamente enriquecedora para nuestros estudiantes.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Books and Breakfast a successful event, including our partners at the Glendale Branch of the Salt Lake City Public Library and the Utah Reads program at the Bennion Center! We celebrated students who have been working hard to reach their reading goals and learned some fun ways to continue to practice reading skills inside and out of the classroom! We are looking forward to holding more of these events in the upcoming school year!

¡Gracias a todos los que ayudaron a hacer de nuestros Libros y Desayuno un evento exitoso, incluyendo a nuestros socios en la sucursal de Glendale de la Biblioteca Pública de Salt Lake City y el programa Utah Reads en el Bennion Center!
