🌟My journey of GROWTH

🗓️ I was looking at the calendar today and saw i will be 44 in about 7 weeks! 🥳 That got me thinking about the last 14 years of my health + fitness journey. It sure has been a roller coaster of ups + downs. From under eating + overtraining to striving for the "perfect body," I endured many struggles including a unhealthy relationship with food + body image issues. 😔

‼️ Spoiler Alert y’all: none of that worked. 😔

🌱 The big aha + massive turning point was when I invested in a coach + shifted my focus from aesthetics to getting stronger. Started fueling my body with more protein + whole foods. Started prioritizing my mental health, sleep + doing more that brings me JOY, I discovered that my perfect body isn't just about looks, but about strength, functionality + resiliency!I want to be able to be self sufficient for as long as I live! Who’s with me?👵🏼💪🏼

💪🏼I am not afraid to say that i believe my body has transformed into a powerhouse! My body supports my daily activities + 8 hour days at 😝with the fam, being on my feet + sometimes my butt for hours doing a job that I absolutely LOVE, it lifts heavy ass weights, + my beautiful body empowers me to conquer my goals in and outside the gym. 👏🏼 BONUS: I eat more than I ever have! 🤯🙌🏼

🫶🏼 Embracing my body + making peace with my unique “flaws” has been a challenging journey + is still a work in progress. ✨ But I now know that the most crucial relationship we can nurture is the one we have with ourselves. 🤗

❤️‍🩹 Investing in myself + learning to respect + appreciate my body changed everything. 🤯

🌈 Today, I celebrate the resilience, determination, + growth that brought me here. May this journey inspire you to find love + gratitude for your own beautiful + capable body. And if i could offer you one piece of advice:

I’ve had this reel in my drafts for a month now! Better share bc we all know Costco likes to change up their inventory! Here are some cleaner, safer, less/non toxic goods that aren’t food!!

I even included something for your furry best friend!! They deserve quality non toxic food as well!! Isn’t it ironic that when we take our animals to the vet for a skin or digestive issue the first question the vet asks us is:

What kind of food are you feeding your beloved pet? 👏🏼

But when we go to our human doctor and complain about the same issues, they just rx you a pill or cream. 🙁

Ask yourself this, is your food causing sickness or health? Which one do you want? 😘

My take on fish n chips baby!! 🐠🍟 But health + simplified = SATISFIED 😅😋 I’ve been wanting to share this simple and quick recipe for years now and well better now than never baby!! Oh and you’re welcome!! 😉

Here are the steps to pure goodness at your next meal!! 👏🏼

💪🏼 Grab your Protein of choice -> i used air fried salmon

💚 Some Veggies -> air fried fresh green beans

🥔 Carbs -> Siete salt + vinegar chips crunched all over 💙

🔥Drizzled TJ’S sriracha sauce. Other brands with cleaner ingredients: 💪🏼 topped with some Furikake and everything but the bagel seasoning!! It’s sooooo gooood y’all!!
