SarahCare at Encino Park

SarahCare at Encino Park Providing a safe and fun environment for adults who can not stay home alone. SararhCare is a leader in the industry of adult day health services.

As personal caregivers to our veteran family members, we chose to bring SarahCare to San Antonio, Texas to help other caregivers in our situation. We are opening this franchise to assist those in our community with the difficult decisions they make daily about loved ones that may be afflicted with Alzheimer's, dementia or Parkinsons, etc or just may not be able to be left alone. We are here to care for clients, provide warm meals, to interact with them socially, engage in activities and bring comfort to the caregivers during the day.

As we reflect on this season of gratitude, our hearts are full. This journey has been big, beautiful, stressful, exciting, and everything in between — and we could not have made it this far without the incredible people standing with us. 🤍

First, thank you to our corporate office for your constant support, guidance, and encouragement. Your belief in us has helped carry this dream forward.
To our fellow SarahCare franchise owners, thank you for always answering the phone, sharing advice, and reminding us that we’re part of something bigger. Your wisdom means more than you know.

To our families, who have loved us through every meeting, every late night, every construction hiccup, every moment of doubt — thank you for being our foundation. ❤️
And to everyone who has been part of the building process, from contractors to inspectors to the many hands behind the scenes… thank you for helping turn this dream into a real place where seniors will soon gather, laugh, and thrive.

To our staff, who have stood beside us with patience, grace, and excitement while we prepare to open — we are so grateful for you.
And finally… to every single person who has reached out with the sweetest question of all: “When are you going to open?” Thank you for cheering us on. Your enthusiasm tells us we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.

We promise: we will open as soon as possible, and when we do, SarahCare at Encino Park will be filled with joy, purpose, and community — because of you. 🧡

"I wasn't prepared for how all-consuming and stressful caring for my mother would be. No one ever is."

When my brother called from Florida to tell me about my mother's stroke, everything changed in an instant. Despite my background as a therapist, despite working with families for years, nothing truly prepared me for what it meant to BE the caregiver.

The sleepless nights. The constant worry. The guilt when I felt frustrated. The exhaustion that went bone-deep. The decisions I had to make that I never wanted to face.

I thought I knew what caregiving looked like. I didn't. Not really. Not until I was living it.

If you're feeling unprepared, overwhelmed, or like you should somehow be handling this better... stop.

This work is hard. It's supposed to be hard. And admitting that doesn't make you weak. It makes you honest.

You're doing better than you think. 💙

At SarahCare at Encino Park, we proudly celebrate all those who have served our country with courage and honor. Today, we give special recognition to one of our own — Captain Joe Santaniello, United States Marine Corps. 👏

Captain Santaniello served 12 years as a Communications Officer and bravely answered the call during Operation Desert Storm. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence reflect the very best of the Marine Corps spirit — Semper Fi! ❤️💪

Thank you to all veterans for your service and sacrifice. We are forever grateful for the freedom you’ve protected and the example you continue to set. 💙🇺🇸

Today, we proudly salute all who have served our country — the brave men and women who put others before themselves to protect our freedom. At SarahCare at Encino Park, we are especially proud to honor our favorite Army Veteran, 1LT Randal Garrett Spears, who served at Ft. Hood as a Chemical Corps Officer before his injury. His courage, resilience, and continued spirit of service inspire us every day. 💙👏

Thank you to every veteran — past and present — for your sacrifice, your strength, and your love of country. You are true heroes, and we honor you today and always. ❤️🤍💙

What a beautiful Saturday morning it was at Fiesta Texas for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s! The SarahCare at Encino Park team showed up with big smiles, purple shirts, and even bigger hearts — walking together to honor loved ones, raise awareness, and support the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

We’re so proud of everyone who joined us and supported our team. Every step we took was for the families and friends affected by Alzheimer’s, and we’re grateful to be part of such a powerful community of hope and love.

Together, we walk for memories that last, for care that matters, and for a future without Alzheimer’s.

Caring for a loved one is a labor of love, but it can also be physically and emotionally exhausting. Respite care gives family caregivers a much-needed break to rest, recharge, and tend to their own well-being. Even a few hours a week can make a significant difference in reducing stress, preventing burnout, and allowing caregivers to return to their role with renewed energy and compassion.

At SarahCare, we understand that you can't pour from an empty cup. Our adult day services provide a safe, engaging environment for your loved one—so you can take care of yourself without guilt. Whether it's time to run errands, meet with friends, or simply take a deep breath, respite care is not just a luxury—it's essential.

"Life can change in an instant. Suddenly, you can be thrown into the unfamiliar storm of caregiving."

That's how it happened for me. One phone call from my brother in Florida, my mother had a stroke. In a moment, everything changed. I went from a therapist helping other families to a caregiver navigating my own storm.

What was your "instant"? The moment everything changed?

Share below if you're comfortable. Sometimes knowing others have been there helps more than any advice.
