Introducing Bellami (mama) and Xocolātl (baby) to the herd! Bell is a Jersey and sweet as can be (as long as you have plenty of snacks)

It’s been quite a journey with them as we continue to grow together. Life with a dairy cow is one of softness and schedule, discipline and gentleness, structure and flexibility, so on and so forth. It opens so much into oneself , “how you do one thing is how you do everything” comes full circle from reflection into action when it comes to milking time.
Shes so sensitive to my energy , if I’m too hyper or unfocused, she lets me know by shifting away or being uncomfortable. If I’m hurrying through the process and not being present, she’ll knock the milk bucket over or step on me (mostly cause I get in her way by being distracted)
And when I feel the heaviness of temporary thoughts, she is there with softness, scratching her head on me or just being close.

I’m so grateful to open this new chapter in my life. It opens the door to more collaborative work with community, it takes a lot to care for these creatures and together we will get better and better, more regenerative, symbiotic, and sustainable.

What a great day
Had an awesome consultation for a backyard design in Houston
Then I took a skip on over to the Houston Arboretum for a stroll in the woods and found some great saprophytic mushrooms eating on the logs.
Got inspired so I ate some beauty berries so I could be part of the club.
Then had a lovely call with a potential future client sitting and looking at the swampy loveliness and all the glory of the golden rod.
