Each item you see is handmade by a current resident who is learning vocational skills that will enable them to be successful in the future. When you donate, your support is providing housing, utilities, transportation, and Christ-centered curriculum to someone overcoming addiction.

Adult and Teen Challenge of Texas is a yearlong, residential, Christ-centered program for men, women, and teens struggling with a life controlling addiction. The program has locations in 6 cities across Texas with nearly 400 beds.

What makes Adult and Teen Challenge different is its Christ-centered approach to addiction recovery, its one year in length, and its minimal cost to participants. In fact, aside from a small fee at the time of admission, residents are not charged a fee to participate in the program until they enter the re-entry phase and begin working.

Because residents are not charged costly fees and because we are a faith based organization, programs must raise their own operational costs. One of the ways support is raised is through our businesses, like the T-Shirt Shop, Candle Company, and Wood Shop, which all generate operational support.

Because of you, we are able to continue in our vision of putting hope within reach of every addict. Thank you!

While the ATCOT woodshop runs around the year creating beautiful handmade crosses, many of our students only get to experience several weeks working in the woodshop at the beginning of their program, before transitioning into other specialized work areas around the campus. This shared experience of diligent work producing the very symbol of our salvation builds a common bond amongst the students, which many come to rely on as they face and overcome spiritual trials throughout their progression in the program. Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas has been awarded a grant from the COVID-19 Response Fund, a community fund jointly managed by the San Antonio Area Foundation and the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County. The fund is comprised of nearly 30 caring businesses, donor advised funds, philanthropic foundations, and government entities.
