I’ve met lots of people who achieve their goals and are still miserable, depressed, angry, and unfulfilled.🏆😔😫🥴😡

That’s because pleasure only lasts for a moment or two. It’s in the body. It’s like eating cake. Happiness is in the mind. You get the grade, or the job, or the car. Someone gives you a compliment, or you win an Academy Award. It’s great but it doesn't last. Pretty soon it's just a statue on the mantle or a car in the garage, right?

Only GROWTH and CONTRIBUTION give us FULFILLMENT and MEANING.

Life wants us to GROW!🌱

The more we GROW the more we have to GIVE.

REMEMBER: What you get will never make you truly happy, the whole game is who we BECOME.

🤔💭Focusing on the positives doesn't negate the negatives, in fact they can be useful.

No one said that "failing" or having bad things happen to us are fun and enjoyable, but without the, how will learn and appreciate the wins. No one wants to have bad things happen, but sometimes those bad or negative things can create good outcomes. Plus the bad things or failures can help to appreciate the good even more.
However, focusing on the good helps us to be more motivated to act and keep going, even during those hard or bad times.
Everyone will have good days, bad days, and bad situations come up - it's a fact of life, but that doesn't mean that life is bad or that you are bad.
Remember there is a season and time for everything.

Your thoughts matter and what you focus on you bring about. 🤔

So this weekend, I buckled down and finally got all my Christmas stuff put up, but I haven't put out the everyday decor....

So this weekend, I buckled down and finally got all my Christmas stuff put up, but I haven't put out the everyday decor. Part of me is enjoying the blank and empty space, like the mantle...the possibility of "we can do whatever we want with it". ☺️

But that same exciting feeling can also be overwhelming - almost too many options and possibilities.... the world is your oyster, a blank page to fill as you like, fresh start, etc.,... for me that can be so freeing and exciting 😃, but also binding and scary. Questions and fears creep in (especially the longer I wait), what do I choose, what if I choose wrong, what if I mess up, I don't know what I want, I don't know what I'm doing, I don't know how ..... 😓😟
Especially is I've waited a long while, then you feel the pressure to make it even more "right or perfect". Maybe I'm the only one that feels this way, but hopefully I'm not alone in this. If so...well, I'll just make this post as a reminder for me then. 😐📝

Yikes! the pressure [we put on ourselves more than anything usually].
I even got this way when looking at wanting to declutter and reorganize my Christmas stuff - and no one cares but me!!
Whether it is organizing your space, creating something from scratch, working out, meditation, looking at the messy kitchen from cooking dinner, new relationship or new business venture or job...... whatever it is, these same feelings can apply.

These back and forth emotions and questions can make us freeze up and take no action. 🥶
So what do you do - how do you take that first step to defrost??

🫁1st take a deep breath or 5. Breathing helps your body and emotions and mind to calm down. It helps slow down your heart rate, blood pressure, thoughts, reduces feelings of anxiety, helps you think more clearly and so much more.

Then do 1 small thing, movement creates momentum. Pick up the trash, wash one dish, put away one thing you know where it goes, put one pretty thing out you like, make one phone call, research one idea, take a small walk, look for a short meditation on you tube...... one small thing that applies to your situation.

Then...how do you feel? Give yourself credit for doing that thing 👏
Sometimes that first step is all you need to get going, but if not... take another breathe and do the next small thing. Keep doing this and before you know it...you've moved and you are not standing the middle looking at 102 directions with 54,000 ideas, too much info and not enough answers.

⇒And along the way or another journey or when you have stop and come back later....

Take that breathe, do that small thing and keep on going. 🪜

We got this, we can do hard and simple things! I believe in you!! 👏❤️

Where FOCUS goes, energy flows!

Remember, what we FEEL is a result of what we’re choosing to FOCUS on.

Most people focus on how to avoid pain in the short-term. If we want to push our life to the next level and experience fulfillment and true quality of life we need to be laser-focused on our ultimate vision and our sense of mission — who we want to be, and how we can serve, and contribute.

Focusing on that highest vision helps create energy and momentum. We can kick feelings of frustration or depression by changing the channel of our attention to how to help someone in need.

It all begins with what you CHOOSE to FOCUS ON.

This week I keep having things pop up on my YouTube, podcast, etc. that lean into some of my previous post.... all about faith, stop limiting yourself, stifling or hoarding creativity... and imagination.
Some of these I've heard before, but like I said, I can be hard headed or need to be reminded a few thousand times.

I am believing and I am going to lean more into my imagination and stop letting limiting beliefs, people and fears do the decision making.

This will be my affirmation, and give grace (my word for the year) when don't.
