So many of our amazing clients and families have asked how you can support our service to those in need. Here's a list of the items most requested by fellow counselors in the field! Press and hold the QR code for our amazon wishlist.

To give you an idea of how these items are used for counseling:

-Portable sound machines can be taken to churches and other buildings to provide confidentiality during counseling services in private rooms.

-Coffee is basically our life blood, and is also offered during support groups and meetings between agencies.

-Make up wipes are stocked in restrooms: Ladies become self conscious when they cry and their make up runs, so we keep these on hand.

If you have any of these items (new and unexpired) on hand locally, message us to coordinate a drop off at Trellis. If you're interested in financially supporting the Texas Hill Country Counselors Association, connect with me on donation information.

The support for those impacted by the floods in the hill country has been overwhelming and seeing the community rally around to offer their time, energy, and resources to this effort is heartfelt. đź’›
•
I’m extending my services to those who answered the call. Caring for ourselves as we care for others is vitally important to be able to continue showing up.
•
I will be opening up my schedule to a limited number of clients for extended care.
•
If you feel prompted to support the efforts in supporting mental health with an investment so these brave individuals can receive care without the stress of financial strain, please DM for more details on how to donate.

🚨 ATTENTION COMFORT, & GUADALUPE RIVER RESIDENTS 🚨

This morning, Kendall County Emergency Management, along with our partner agencies, will have emergency personnel working along the Guadalupe River, including checking on homes and properties near the water.

You will also see road and bridge crews out clearing debris and inspecting roadways and bridges for safety.

📍 If you live in Comfort or along the river:

Expect increased emergency activity in the area.

Please stay off bridges and away from the river so our crews can travel and operate safely. Some roads and bridges will not be open until the county is able to check for any structural damage.

Stay out of the water — the river is still fast-moving and full of dangerous debris.

While we’re incredibly thankful for the community’s offers to help, we currently have all the resources needed for search and response operations. The best way to assist right now is to stay clear and let the crews work safely and efficiently.

We’re also asking folks to hold off on bringing donations at this time. Once we have a better understanding of the actual needs, we’ll share how the public can help most effectively.

Thank you for your continued support, patience, and cooperation.

Spent the first part of this year in some intense training to grow my knowledge in somatics through
•
Although I had a wonderful foundation through yoga training many years ago, I was eager to expand on that for my work as a therapist.
•
Somatic therapy is a type of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or stress by focusing on the connection between the mind and body. It works with body sensations, breathing, movement, and awareness to release stress or emotions that are “stuck” in the body. The idea is that the body holds onto trauma, not just the mind.
•
Somatic EMDR adds body awareness to the EMDR process. While you’re processing memories, the therapist also helps you stay aware of what’s happening in your body—like tension, temperature changes, or breathing shifts.
This approach helps people process trauma more deeply and gently, especially if their trauma is stored in the body or if talk therapy alone hasn’t helped.
•
Excited to incorporate this more deeply into what I’m already offering and to share more experiences outside the therapy room to make space for growth and healing.

W is for Wind Down
•
Honor your healing.
Rest is deserved, not earned.
A simple concept so many of us are trying to learn.
•
One of the most important, if not the most important aspect of trauma healing is allowing the nervous system to wind down and rest.
•
Listen to the cues of your body. Often what it’s communicating is that deep intentional rest is needed.
•
Rest in times of healing and nervous system regulation can be mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social
•
Clearing your schedule, saying no, not over committing yourself, brain rest, minimizing social media consumption, physical rest & sleep, gentle movement, intuitive eating can all be forms of rest.

Prepping for an EMDR intensive this weekend.
Grateful to be holding space for another in deep healing work.
Grateful for the tools I get to share with another.
Grateful for this sacred work.

Our Story

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Johanna Travieso and I am passionate about all things mental health and natural solutions.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I invite you into a safe place where you can experience the beginning of a life that is lived healed and whole. I come alongside those who have experienced brokenness from trauma, and together we begin to explorer how to resolve issues of deep wounding for a healed future.

I take a holistic approach to counseling, incorporating creativity and other techniques to uniquely fit your individual needs. Interweaving body, mind and spirit are key elements in living a life that is connected as a whole-person. When we invest in our emotional healing, other aspects of our life have the potential to experience peace and wholeness as well.

As a holistic educator of natural, plant-based solutions, I combine a whole-person healing experience through the use of essential oils for self-care. I provide mentorship and education to empower you to take charge of your health and wellness through natural and safe solutions for you and your family. My goal is to create an experience that is easy and attainable for you to implement into your lifestyle for whole-person connectedness .
