He is off of bypass. Major part is finished and he did well !!🎉🎉

Still about 1.5 hours until they finish closing him up and all the extra stuff.

He is now on bypass (heart/lung machine) starting repairs.

Everything is going as planned. I'll update in 2 hrs. 🙏

Friday we got the word. The 3 letter word we have been waiting for.... YES. Surgery is a GO. Wednesday we will be having his FONTAN. After speaking with the surgeon we feel confident he will have a good recovery. There may be a couple bumps in the road but I'm sure jummie will get through them. We go for a Echo tomorrow at 9am. His surgeon is looking at his heart squeeze. If it is squeezing well he will be more confident! I will update after his Echo. ❤❤

Hey guys, here is a quick update for you all. As you all know we are in the hospital around Christmas time, while we were in there he was diagnosed with rhinovirus. We got the call from UCLA telling us his surgeon would prefer to wait 6 weeks from the rhino virus diagnosis to perform the surgery. As of right now we have a tenative surgery date for February 11th. we go in on February 3rd for another respiratory panel and if it comes back negative for everything we will be able to do the surgery on February 11th. We had a respiratory panel on January 14 and it came back positive for rhinovirus. I am not sure what the surgeon is going to think about that they may want to push it back 6 weeks from January 14th I should hear something this coming week.

It's been a hectic day, unfortunately jummies appointment for today was rescheduled until thursday. 😔 I was ready to hear everything the surgeon had to say.

A nurse practitioner from UCLA called and asked about his past ER visit. She was really concerned about him just having Rhinovirus and they want to re-test tomorrow before they confirm his surgery date 😔😔 he has been pretty healthy since we've been home. So I'm hopeful the pest virus is gone!

If yall remember, before the Glenn, he had this same issue with Rhino. They continued to put it off for months. So I'm praying this test is negative!
