یک مرد ۷۰ ساله با سابقهٔ فشار خون بلند، یک هجمه ۱۰ دقیقه یی ضعف سمت چپ و گفتار نامفهوم دارد.
در استجواب های بیشتر، او سه هجمه کوتاه را در ماه گذشته که سبب اختلال ناگهانی بینایی که بر چشم راست شده بود، حکایه میکند. معاینۀ او در حال حاضر نارمل است.
