Dr. Peter Wang is a board certified plastic surgeon, having earned his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in the city of New York, and his dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He completed his training in plastic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and completed his craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery fellowship at Children¡äs Hospital of Los Angeles. His practice focuses on helping individuals enhance their self-esteem and overall well-being through the latest plastic surgery techniques ¨C whether it¡äs for adults needing cosmetic surgery or for children born with deformities. Although adept at performing a wide range of plastic surgery, Dr. Wang¡äs primary mission is to provide specialized care for children born with cleft lip and cleft palate, craniosysnostosis, craniomaxillofacial anomalies, hemangiomas, vascular malformations, birthmarks, congenital nevus, jaw deformity, ear deformity and microtia. His expertise and success rate with these types of cases has earned him a reputation as one of the leading pediatric plastic surgeons in the nation for children born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Due to his proximity to the U.S./Mexico Border, Dr. Wang serves a large number of patients from the Hispanic population and is fully trilingual ¨C speaking English, Spanish and Chinese! Dr. Wang currently serves as attending physician at Methodist Hospital, Methodist Children¡¯s Hospital, Santa Rosa Children¡¯s Hospital and Northcentral Baptist Hospital, including several ambulatory surgery centers. He is also on clinical faculty in plastic surgery at Univeristy of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, American Cleft Palate Association and Bexar County Medical Society. in 1973 and completed his high school education in Los Angeles.
