Seniors are often the target of fraud, manipulation, and abuse — especially when living alone or managing their affairs independently. Whether it’s a scam phone call or a pushy salesperson, here are a few simple tips to help keep our loved ones safe at home:
✅ Keep windows and doors locked at all times
✅ Never let strangers inside if you’re home alone
✅ Talk over offers from phone salespeople with someone you trust
✅ Never give out personal info like your Social Security or bank info
✅ Always request written information before responding to any offer
✅ Don’t let anyone pressure you into signing or buying — it’s never rude to say “Let me talk it over with my family”
