My health and wellness journey took a sharp turn after recovering from a thyroid procedure and losing over 40 pounds of extra weight. At this time, my doctor recommended strength and resistance training, so I joined a commercial gym and hired a personal trainer. Throughout the following five years, my personal trainer helped me safely and gradually drop six dress sizes, while building muscle size and strength. A few years into my progress, I lost a few family members to damaging--yet preventable--health conditions. These losses compelled me to make health my top priority by placing my efforts into all the nutrition and fitness things. My passion is to INSPIRE, to ENCOURAGE, and to ELIMINATE FEAR, doubt and obstacles that may obstruct your personal path towards better health and wellness so that you can live a happier, healthier, and fitter life!

Although it's been the longest, coldest, roughest week physically, mentally, and emotionally...
β€’ Did some awesome workouts with my mad skills alongside some of the hardest working people
β€’ Wore the most layers of clothes to beat the freeze
β€’ Ate lots and lots of protein, salad greens, and chocolate

And with my guys this Christmas...
β€’ Enjoyed a glass of sweet plum wine with tasty Japanese food
β€’ Watched holiday movies all day
β€’ Then, napped with the professional napper...

In the rope climb, when pulling the legs up, think about doing a toes to bar rather than a strict pull-up. You will get your feet higher up without having to pull with your arms.
