Your surgeon should be highly-qualified, as you are trusting them with your body, your life even. This means the surgeon should without question be Board Certified. They should also be able to show that they've earn their CME's (Continuing Medical Education) credits, which they are required to do each and every year. CME's are critical for maintaining, developing or increasing their skills, their knowledge and their professional performance. Together, these requirements of a plastic surgeon allows the patient to be aware that the surgeon is up-to-date on the latest scientific and medical information in the field of plastics.
