Heal The Healer San Antonio 2017- 5th Annual Symposium A one day gathering for intensive exploration and training on the ways formal or informal CAREGIVING affects the CAREGIVER.

To uncover the unspoken wounds and the weights of this kind of serving; To provide a safe context for truth telling about one’s CAREGIVING experiences; To give permission to release people and pain; and To learn strategies for physical, emotional and spiritual wholeness while under the CAREGIVING assignment. This is a two-tiered symposium for anyone who provides care for the suffering, sick, or chronically impaired – and who struggles with feelings of despair, chronic fatigue, stress, grief, entrapment, and impending loss. Formal Caregivers: This includes (but is not limited to) physicians, nurses, attorneys, judges, home-health care workers, social workers, lay and ordained ministers, mental health workers who want to explore the toll of professional caregiving. Informal Caregivers: This includes the often unheralded FAMILY MEMBER or FRIEND who is tasked with providing financial, physical, emotional, or psychological support to a chronically ill parent, child, spouse, or loved one.
