No matter what diet you're on, any diet that stands the test of time (not any of those weird fad diets that come and go) advocates for the plate building method: half your plate should be veggies, one quarter protein of your choice, and one quarter healthy starch, with 1-3 Tablespoons of healthy fat, such as olive oil or avocado.
