Starting next Monday August 22nd, I’m happy to announce we are starting the guided meditation/Tibetan singing bowl meet up again. This time in Solana beach, every 2nd and 4th Monday at 7am. The group is free to enjoy. Bring a yoga mat, blanket, and/or pillow if you choose for comfort. It will be an hour long and feel free to reach out with any questions.

While antibiotics can be lifesaving, indiscriminate use has serious health consequences. Children who were given antibiotics before the age of two are more likely to have a range of health conditions. Notability increases in allergies, asthma, food allergies, eczema, ADHD, autism, and celiac disease were significantly higher in children exposed to antibiotics. Age of antibiotic exposure, type of antibiotic, s*x, and number of antibiotic exposures all showed influence of the type and severity of these health conditions later in childhood. Interestingly, some antibiotics showed increased risk of autism and some showed a moderate protective effect.
We’re still learning about the interconnectedness of our microbiome and our health. As such, prudence should be exercised when prescribing antibiotics for early childhood illnesses.

In Fall 2019 we studied singing bowl therapy in Kathmandu. This healing modality is used for relaxation and stress relief. The course also included training on sound massage and hot water massage (the bowl is filled with warm water, it feels similar to hot stone massage). Lastly, we were introduced to a shamanic tradition of exercising negative energy using singing bowls according to the traditions of the instructor’s ancestors.
