🚨IT’S WINSDAY🚨
Never forget where you come from…
Recently on an impromptu day date adventure, my husband and I went on a walk at my undergraduate college campus, San Diego State University.
Walking around the campus, I reminisced on my college years and all I saw and experienced.
While pursuing my nursing studies, I was grateful to become involved in many organizations and to make lifelong friendships and connections.
Being an Aztec has shaped the woman I am, both professionally and personally. The 18 year old Keisha would be so proud of the woman I am today and all I have accomplished despite the challenges I have faced.
🏆 My wins for the week 🏆
Keeping up with acupuncture appointments regularly. Acupuncture has become a part of my self-care routine which I love and look forward to!
A stretch of FIVE DAYS off! It has been wonderful to not have work and to be able to slow down and sleep in. I also was intentional about not adding in additional items to my schedule and enjoyed the down time. It was so nice to get outside and enjoy the beautiful San Diego sunshine. ☀️
What wins are you celebrating this week?

🚨IT’S WINSDAY🚨
Make time to celebrate OTHERS…
Those who know me well understand how important community and connection is to me.
Along with that, I love celebrating the accomplishments and milestones of those close to me.
Birthdays, promotions, engagements an exciting life events are things to be celebrated.
Recently, I was able to celebrate the birthday of a friend with a tasty treat: the seasonal Biscoff Cookie Butter Nothing Bundt Cake.
This made the celebrating even sweeter!
🏆 My wins for the week 🏆
Girl time! Recently I have been able to enjoy breakfasts, calls, dinners and lunches with some of my favorite women. These get togethers fill my cup in a special way!
Slowing down the tempo. As a person who has a very active personal and professional life, I sometimes do not realize how busy I am until I slow down. I try to be intentional about not filling my schedule up and carving out time and days to rest and get plenty of self-care activities in.
What wins are you celebrating this week?

🚨IT’S WINSDAY🚨
Be 🐝 Happy.
Recently I was grateful to enjoy a lovely coffee and brunch date with one of my very best friends at a new trendy spot in San Diego.
The entire restaurant is decorated like a beehive with plenty of bee decor.
It was so nice to slow down and catch up with someone really important in my life.
It was also an important reminder of how I want to BE:
💛 Be Happy.
💛 Be You.
💛 Be Grateful.
💛 Be Kind.
💛 Be Humble.
💛 Be Respectful.
💛 Be Positive.
💛 Be Honest.
As an ambitious professional, there is so much I work towards and for, but also so much that is within me that no one can take from me.
These, amongst many other character traits and qualities, are engrained within the fabric of who I am.
So important to celebrate being YOU.
🏆 My wins for the week 🏆
Enjoying some quiet time with the kitties while my husband was away for the weekend on a golf trip. I was able to rest, relax, snuggle with the kitties and watch my favorite shows.
REPEAT ATTORNEY CLIENT👏🏾👏🏾
I am always overjoyed when an attorney client is so pleased with a work product that they reach out for additional needs. I am so appreciative to be entrusted with important matters and to excel at what I do as a legal nurse consultant.
What wins are you celebrating this week?

🚨 Did you know that ~350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of the hospital setting in the U.S. and 90% of these are fatal.🚨
Heart disease is the number 1 killer of people in the U.S.
Additionally, cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in the world.
Children are also impacted, as cardiac arrest accounts for 10-15% of sudden unexpected infant deaths.
The American Heart Association reports that bystanders only intervene about 40% of the time.
There are many factors that prevent bystanders from assisting, but lack of training is a key one.
CPR or cardiopulmonary life support, especially if performed immediately, can double or even triple the chance of survival.
Being trained in CPR could literally save a life.
Recently, I underwent my regular BLS (Basic Life Support) CPR training and was reminded upon the importance of this life saving skill.
February is American Heart Month. I urge each of you to consider getting CPR trained, if you are not already. You never know when those skills can help someone else in need.
In a cardiac emergency, every minute counts. You can make all the difference.
Attorneys: do you have a case where cardiac arrest played a role in your client’s case? Have questions on your case? Let’s chat!
Healthcare professionals: Have you witnessed cardiac arrest or performed CPR before?

After graduation, Dr. Jemison moved to New York and attended Cornell University Medical School where she completed her medical degree.
In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Jemison served in the Peace Corps and also conducted medical research on projects related to rabies; schistosomiasis, a parasitic disease; and a Hepatitis B vaccine.
In June 1987, Dr. Jemison achieved a lifelong dream when she became the first Black woman to be admitted into NASA’s astronaut training program.
Dr. Jemison made history again on September 12, 1992, when she flew into space aboard the Endeavour on mission STS47 and became the first Black woman in space.

🚨IT’S WINSDAY🚨
Impromptu day dates are the BEST..
Any one else’s schedule seem to get nuts out of nowhere? 🙋🏾‍♀️
As someone with a busy professional and personal life, I am always looking for ways to slow down and to do things that fill my cup.
Recently my husband and I have been scheduling more impromptu day dates. This has been a wonderful way to enjoy the San Diego sunshine, check out new spots and share even more time connecting with one another.
Remember: Life is meant to be lived fully and time spent with those you love the most. ❤️
🏆 My wins for the week 🏆
Enjoying this tasty lobster roll and truffle fries on a day date at a restaurant called Hideaway in Pacific Beach with my husband. Yummy food, amazing company and beautiful scenery truly are an unbeatable combination.
Scheduling more vacations in 2026! We will be checking out some fun and awesome cities this year. I’ll be posting more about them as they approach, as I hope to connect with LNCs, attorneys and other professionals for coffee or lunch for those available and interested. Lakeisha, coming soon to a city near you! 😂
What wins are you celebrating this week?

🚨IT’S WINSDAY🚨
In real life meet ups are the best!
Recently, I traveled out of town for a conference for my sorority. In between getting settled in and before business sessions began, I was able to meet Anna Gray!
Anna Gray featured me on her amazing “Limitless Legal Nurse Consulting” podcast some time ago. It was such a wonderful experience and I was grateful for the opportunity to share a little about me, my background and my journey in the legal nurse consulting world.
This was my first time meeting Anna in real life and it was truly special. We were able to chat, share and connect.
Anna is a genuine person with a beautiful spirit. I was grateful to be able to meet her and share a hug and some smiles.
Thanks for being YOU, Anna! You are a true gem in the LNC world.
🏆 My wins for the week 🏆
Incorporating chia seeds and flax seeds into my diet. I have been looking for ways to increase fiber and vary my dietary nutrient intake. If you have any easy and tasty ideas please let me know!
Enjoying an impromptu lunch date with my husband. Here in San Diego, we are having mid 70s temps and we figured it was the perfect time to get outside and by the water. It was such a lovely time!
What wins are you celebrating this week?

🚨IT’S WINSDAY🚨
As the youngsters would say, “Go touch grass…”
A phrase popularized by Gen Zers, “go touch grass” means to get outside and disconnect from internet, social media and devices and to spend time outside and reconnect with others and nature.
In the busyness of our day to day lives in can get easy to be sucked into the next task, meeting or email.
I have been intentional about creating start and stop times for work and screen time. I have also consistently carved out time to take walks outside, even if just for a few minutes.
This time to slow down and bask in the stillness and beauty of nature is refreshing.
This photo was taken by the Bay on an afternoon walk I took with my husband.
I encourage you to take some time today, even for a few minutes, to “go touch grass” and spend some time outdoors. You’ll be surprised just how invigorating disconnecting can be.
What wins are you celebrating this week?
