If you've ever had the privilege of experiencing a workout ๐ช๐ป๐๐ป instructed by this amazing human, you completely understand the reasons why people flock ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ผ to her classes at Orangetheory ๐ Fitness Point Loma, The Rush Indoor Cycling and Tee's BootCamp. She has a way of motivating you to accomplish athletic endeavors you thought weren't humanly possible. ๐ด We love ๐๐๐ Tee Parrish Girvin for so many reasons and couldn't be more excited ๐๐๐ฌ about having her instruct the bootcamp ๐ช๐ป portion of our FINAL The Sweatwork EVENT for 2016.
Tee answered a few questions relating to her experience with group fitness/working out/National Breast Cancer Awareness month:
1.) What do you love about group fitness? Why do you teach group fitness classes?
โถ๏ธ I love โค๏ธ๐๐ how many lives I can touch in one hour โณ with group fitness, I love the transactional experience of it, I give, they (the students) give-we ALL receive! I love the energy and the ripple effect it has. It's a definite community outreach and has so many post class benefits...we help people have better days, cope with the stressors with all experience by having a healthy release, and I get to be a change agent โ
daily. My life's work. Truly!
2.) What is your workout and/or life mantra?
โถ๏ธ Keep going, keep growing. Fitness is a journey, not a destination. It evolves for me, it transforms as I transform in my life's journey and for that reason I am forever excited by it!!!
3.) The give back organization is Shades of Pink ๐๐๐๐ for National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Why does this speak to you?
โถ๏ธ Cancer has been a presence in my life, my families life and my courageous Mom is a Breast Cancer Survivor. This disease touches so many people, the statistics are mind boggling. When facing adversity and strife, it takes a village to help your love ones, yourself get through it. I want to help as many people as I can, God knows I needed comfort and support through the difficult time beginning when my Mom was diagnosed, treated and I still shudder at the thought that this is a daily worry for us.
Tee will be teaching the bootcamp ๐ช๐ป portion of the upcoming The Sweatwork workout experience โ
NOT to be missed on Saturday, October 22nd at 9am at Mission Brewery ๐บ๐ป in Downtown San Diego.
